The sun was beginning to slowly make it's way out to make room for the moon in the sky. It wasn't dark but the breeze gave a hint of the fact that the day was ending, besides the sun moving down. Coal's dark coat would glow an orange colour on some parts as he exited the den where he slept. He hadn't really done much today, at all in fact. Maybe some would see him as being lazy but other hunting dogs were doing their part for the day so he thought there wouldn't be any point in him going out there and scaring off all the prey with that amount of dogs on the hunt in the area. Standing outside he stretched his back legs and turned his head as he yawned to look around at the sight of camp. Some pups still playing here and there while other dogs came back from a successful hunt. At the sight of them he didn't really want them to see him so he moved around so his back would face them so he could just blend in. Peering his head round every now and then to see if they were gone, hmm, maybe it was best not to stand so near to the den where they slept. They would all walk past him if he stayed here. He trotted over to an area where he would be less obvious but still noticeable. He didn't want to be that guy sneaking around camp all the time.

A tall, lanky hound made her way through the camp, her floppy ears dangling next to her jowls which were stretched around two squirrels, her deep amber eyes shining with happiness. The shy hound placed her kills onto the fresh-kill pile and then stretched, her slender body popping and hissing in satisfaction. Luna shook out her fur, her grey-spotted paws planted firmly on the ground. She gazed around the clearing before spotting another dog, her long, thin tail immediately wagging as it sat low between her legs. Her ears flattened a bit as she timidly made her way over to the black-coated male, her eyes bright with hope and slight excitement. "H-Hi," she stuttered and subtly winced at the stutter in her voice, her ears flattening even more.

As he stood to the side he wasn't really paying attention to anything else apart from some other hunting dogs he was trying to avoid. He didn't want anyone of them to end up in a conversation with them. A stuttering voice raised his awareness to in front of him. It scared him to be honest, he was too busy looking at the entrance of camp. " Uh- um Hi " He looked at the dog up and down. She seemed to be timid judging from the look of her and the scent she had been hunting. Oh no, well that didn't really work. " Sorry, who are you? I- i forget a lot of names, not to be rude or anything " He looked down trying to think of her name. He didn't want to seem like he didn't care about her or anything, well then again, he didn't really know her all to well.

Luna's tail raised slightly as she stood up a bit straighter. "Um, I'm Luna. You're...Coal, right?" she asked, trying to get names right. The coonhound smiled a bit as she tilted her head, her ears standing at their usual, perked position. Luna's eyes flicked with nervousness as she stood, talking to the other canine. She wasn't too used to speaking to others which is why she figured she was meant to be a hunting dog. She quickly pulled herself from her thoughts and turned her attention back on the male in front of her, a small smile trying to tug at her lips.

" Oh right! Yeah, i'm coal " He said proudly. He had seen this female before but rarely if ever spoke to her. She was a patrol dog, thankfully. " So, uhh-I can't believe i haven't spoken to you before " He straightened his head up. His face held a sort of confident look but that was just his natural face. She was a beautiful dog and he felt like he needed to make up for that. His look wasn't exactly, neat. He didn't even hold his posture like this naturally at all. His natural posture was more of a hunched over sort of look.

Luna felt her coat heat up a bit as she looked up at him, sitting neatly in front of him. "Well I'm not the most..uh..outgoing dog around," she laughed shyly, her eyes shining brightly. Luna looked over the Shepherd in front of her and tilted herself, quite enjoying his some-what imperfect stance, not something one sees everyday. Her tail thumped against the ground softly, kicking up the slightest amount of dust. The dying sunlight caught her eyes just right, giving them a bright gold halo in the center, a warm smile covering her face as she relaxed into the conversation.

He sat down after he saw that she did. It was clear that she wasn't the confident type so maybe it would be better if he sat down. " Yeah, i haven't seen you around here before " He said thinking back to if he had seen her before in camp or out hunting. He smiled back when he saw her smile. His dark coat was slowly turning different colours matching the mood of the sky as the sun started to hit the horizon. " So uhh... what is your job around here? " He asked. He honestly had no clue and just made an idea in his head about the look of someone and believed it. Well she wasn't Alpha, Beta or Omega that's for sure, otherwise he would know the face when he saw it.

Luna flicked her ears as she sat neatly in front of the shepherd, a smile still wide on her face. "Uh me? I'm just a little hunting dog," she huffed a bit indifferently. "What about you?" she asked and tilted her head, her tail thumping lazily against the ground. Luna sat patiently for an answer before realizing she must look very awkward and shy. "Um sorry if it seems like I'm just kind of starin' off into nothing..." she muttered, her smile faltering.

'Little hunting dog' She wasn't exactly a small dog compared to some of the dogs he'd seen around here. She was making herself out to be like she wasn't much of anything apart from just another dog with nothing special about her. He was glad to hear that she was the same as him job wise, at first he thought she was a patrol dog. She did look like the type but he was wrong. He judged to quickly. " I'm the same actually " Coal smiled proudly as he pointed out as an answer to her question. " Oh no, i mean i may be like nothin' but in all honesty there's more to me" he joked. Thinking back at what he said, what was he saying? He decided to just keep his mouth shut and let her talk to drown out after a while at what he was saying.
